Pomier's Funeral Home.The most famous funeral home in all of Pomiers is the one for which they are named. Founded by Polish immigrants, it has been operating successfully since 1930 with only minor interruptions during World War II when Chicago saw its population drop from 1 million people to barely half that number due largely because so many Poles became refugees fleeing oppression.
