Established in 1923, the first store opened on Vermont where LACC is now. It carried men's furnishings and stationery before moving to our current location at 7th Street around 1940 when it had already become an art neighborhood of Los Angeles due largely because three well-known schools began there: UCLA (1919), CalArts ( 1931) ,&Art Center College Of Design( 1941).
