Ford Models was founded in 1946 by Eileen and Jerry Ford. As a young photographer, he had his first job as an assistant to Douglas Webber who would later go on become famous for creating the iconic pose of "The Edsel". His work caught the eye that same year when Life Magazine featured him alongside other notable artists such photoshopiks like Norman Rockwell .
