Federal Credit Union

The Los Angeles City Employees Federal Credit Union was established in 1936 to provide its members with a safe, low-cost, convenient source of borrowing money and saving during the Great Depression. Twelve employees pooled their resources together for $60 and formed this initiative which received federal approval from then President Franklin D. Roosevelt himself!
