Walters Wholesale Electric Company is a family-owned and operated company that was founded in 1953 by Lester H. Walter, their first location shared space with quilts supply store but as it grew Les moved from rented to larger quarters Long Beach due construction on new 405 Freeway forcing them another move eventually establishing Compton branch now oldest one located there .
