Dr. He is the first holder of a prestigious professorship in his department and has been named Josephine Long Biddle Chair for Age-Related Macular Degeneration Research at UT Southwestern Medical Center, where he also serves as an Assistant Professor since 2001. His research focuses on treating patients with macular degeneration through surgery or medication that blocks harmful molecules from accumulating inside cells.

Dr. Khan was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana where he spent his medical career assisting patients from that area. At 23 years old Dr.,Khan became one of the youngest graduates to ever complete all four undergraduate degrees at LSUS; Bachelors Degree (B.S.) with honors along side a Doctorate Of Medicine(M D).
