She has been playing since the age of three where she received professional training from such teachers as Adelaide Mchedlishvili (Georgia) in Washington DC; Oscar Shumsky in Chicago - both under guidance by Sviatoslav Richter who was a pupil for over six years until he became professor emeritus .
