Illinois Eye Institute was founded in 1910 by pioneering ophthalmologist Dr. Robert Mears as one of America's first clinics devoted exclusively to optometry services under an academic setting (at that time known as The College). It is now nationally recognized among eyecare providers due largely from its reputation in providing unmatched expertise across all disciplines including: primary eye examinations; medical retina treatment; glaucoma management & diagnostic surgery referrals when necessary.
