He received his double-major bachelor degrees from UC Berkeley with honors before receiving a doctorate degree at New York Medical College followed by internship at prestigious hospitals such as NYU Northshore University Hospital & Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center where he excelled during neurology residency training for UCLA Medical Center .
