Beware, Glendale collections agency running a scam! I received a call that I owe xxx amount of dollars, they did not introduce themselves as a collection agency. Agent began the call with very sneaky questioning but sounded professional so I answered. Then after i refused to pay online, the agent gave me my account number, after i did my research, there is no such account! I expect scams like this from 3rd world countries, but to think these scams are happening here in Glendale is a shame! We have all just survived the worst economic downturn in recent history due to Covid19, some of us are barely trying to get back on our feet again, and then you have people like Collection consultants of California trying to take advantage of people. Absolute shame

Hi, yes they are a legitimate business, however their managers, Vp and President are very cold people. You would have more luck speaking to one of their collectors, as the collectors are more sensitive to the debtors. I worked for Ccoc for about 1 year, but I could not cut it because I was too nice and could not badger people to pay their bills. The hospital might not converse with you regarding the bill, since it is assigned to Ccoc, but if you speak with a collector, arrange a date and time that you will speak with them again after reviewing the bill, they should be more than likely to request the bill from the hospital, when they realize payment might be forthcoming. Hope this helps.

Just called to ask them if they would settle my account for a large payment and they said they don't do that, which I don't understand because hospitals and collection companies settle all of the time. Then the lady Lauren proceeded to tell me that I was put on a payment plan that was not approved. She was very matter of fact and to the point, but I don't appreciate that I couldn't negotiate payment. With the new year, comes new copays and higher deductibles, which will only put me further in debt. My health problems continue and worsen as time goes on. Not looking forward to additional collections. Our health care system sucks. Thanks Obama.

Beware of them, and do not be intimidated. Simply ask for your rights to be respected, always ask for documentation, and always go to the authorities if you believe their information to be flawed.
