The Chicago Patrolmen’s Federal Credit Union was founded in 1938, when a group of police officers on the beat decided to organize for financial reasons. Their goal? To offer those who were not eligible at other banks or credit unions an option that could better meet their needs and interests: namely, low-interest loans with reasonable repayment schedules.
