Ada S. McKinley Community Services, Inc., founded by Ada Sophia McKinely in 1919 as a settlement house to serve veterans and African Americans migrating from the south after World War I, today served over 7,000 people annually at 70 locations across Illinois/Chicago with additional sites in Indiana and Wisconsin.
