Takes place at Kirkpatrick Family farm
Enjoy a taste of Louisiana at the Chisholm Trail Crawfish Festival in Yukon. This annual outdoor event celebrates Cajun culture with food, history and music. The festival is family-friendly and features numerous activities for all age groups, including the Kid's Kreative Korral, chicken and crawfish races and pony rides. A live Cajun band will perform and give dance lessons throughout the day.
Visitors will get a glimpse into the past through historical demonstrations, including authentic chuck wagon cooking, live re-enactments of gunfights and plenty of cowboys, mountain men and blacksmiths roaming the festival grounds. Witness living history encampments, browse through booths of prairie crafts and sample delicious Cajun food or festival fare at one of the Chisholm Trail Crawfish Festival's numerous food booths.

The Oklahoma Division Magna Charta Dames and Barons will have its annual luncheon and meeting at noon June 2 at the Quail Creek Golf and Country Club, 3501 Quail Creek Road, Oklahoma City.
Irma Stewart will portray Alice Paul, who along with Lucy Burns and others led a successful campaign for women's suffrage that resulted in the passage of the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution in 1920.

Learn how to select roses for low maintenance and specific roles in the landscape. Materials will cover everything from miniature roses to climbers.
Class will visit the Charles E. Sparks Rose Garden to observe roses firsthand.

Takes place at Magnuson Hotel - Meridian Convention Center
You’re invited to the 25th annual Celebration of Life presented by the INTEGRIS Cancer Institute of Oklahoma. Join Mary Ann Bauman, M.D., medical director, Women’s Health and Community Relations, INTEGRIS Health, for “Expressions of Survivorship,” as she highlights her experiences and life lessons learned as a physician and the stories of survivorship that have touched both her professional and personal life. Dr. Bauman is a graduate of the Wayne State University School of Medicine. She is board certified in internal medicine and has given many presentations on women’s health, family health and careers in medicine. Dr. Bauman is featured daily on KWTV News 9, where she answers medical questions from the community. The presentation will be held from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. at the Magnuson Hotel and Convention Center (formerly the Clarion Meridian Convention Center), 737 S. Meridian Ave., Oklahoma City. Complimentary lunch, survivor recognition and butterfly release are included. Admission is free, but reservations are required.

Takes place at Stars & Stripes Park
Take Steps Be Heard! Take Steps Fundraising Walk for Crohn's & Colitis is CCFA's largest fundraising event. Participants raise funds and awareness throughout the year and come together to celebrate the steps that have been taken towards a cure. This is a 1-3 mile walk. Food, kids' area, music and festivities after the walk. Those donating or raising a minimum of $25 will be given a wristband to attend the festivities. There is no registration fee for the walk but a donation is anticipated as this is a fundraising walk. Those who register online or join an existing team raising $100 or more will receive a Take Steps Tshirt the day of the walk. More incentives the more money you raise.

Takes place at Chen's Buffet and happens on first Saturday of each month
Lunch is followed by a discussion of the arts and general fellowship, then a 20- to 30-minute presentation from a speaker on the arts. There are no meetings in June, July or August.
Founded in Washington, D.C., in 1897, Pen Women fulfilled the need for writers, but gradually made all of the arts available for women to appreciate and enjoy.
The cost for membership is $10, or $40 a year if a member has published book or has been honored in her art. Those interested in joining or attending are asked to call club President Dena Gorrell at 478-0249 or Eloise Rodkey Rees at 348-0749.
