Stoney LaRue, Jason Boland, Red Dirt Rangers, Mike McClure, Monica Taylor, Randy Crouch, The Science Project, John Fullbright, Wink Burcham and Friends, Dustin Pittsley Band and more will play at the Tom Skinner Family Benefit at 5 p.m. Sunday at Fassler Hall, 304 S Elgin.
The event will help Skinner with major medical expenses; he has suffered from heart problems in recent years. He also set up a trust for his grandson, Flash, who lost his mother last month.
A Bristow-based singer/songwriter/musician, Skinner is credited with pioneering the red dirt music movement along with Bob Childers, Jimmy LaFave and more.
