In A Room of One’s Own, Virginia Woolf imagines that Shakespeare had an equally talented and ambitious sister, Judith. Playwright Cody Daigle, using Woolf’s hypothetical theory, has reimagined the creation of Shakespeare’s last play, The Tempest. This world premiere raises questions concerning the role of women in Shakespeare’s time, the nature of creativity, ownership of an idea and what it means to take risks as an artist.
