"Atheists Don't Have No Songs," "Jubilation Day" and a bluegrass version of "King Tut" may be on the program when Steve Martin and the Steep Canyon Rangers hit the stage strumming.
The legendary actor/comedian/writer/musician and the celebrated bluegrass band are touring in support of their CD Rare Bird Alert, which recently debuted at No. 1 on Billboard's Bluegrass Chart.
Longtime Martin fans will recall that he used to play the banjo as part of his stand-up routine, but in addition to his two Grammy Award-winning comedy albums, the multi-talented Martin won Best Bluegrass Album in 2009 for The Crow: New Songs for the 5-String Banjo and another for his collaboration with Earl Scruggs on Foggy Mountain Breakdown in 2001.
The Steep Canyon Rangers emerged that same year as college picking buddies in Chapel Hill, N.C.
