A) Adult Oil Painting Portrait Studio
Grades/Ages: Adults/Teens
Painting the human face is both challenging and rewarding. Using oil paint you will learn the classical techniques needed to capture every facial feature and create a likeness. Step by step you will proceed through the stages of preliminary sketch, laying out the palette; the use of brushes and tools and mastering the painting of a true successful portrait. Regardless of your current level of artistry, look forward to developing your personal approach. The first class, while we are getting to know one another, students should bring a small canvas, charcoal and a photograph to work from. A supply list is provided on the FAI website. We will at time work with a model. Students' first meeting will be April 4th @ 10:00 for one hour. Supplies will be discussed during the first meeting.

Names are special to everyone, they represent a lot about
ourselves, so let’s explore them together. Using fun fonts, you’ll
decide exactly how you want your name to appear, and then
cut each letter from clay. When they are dried and fired in the
kiln, you’ll return to glaze your name and make it uniquely
yours! You can see a sample at the MAC.
