A play by Michel Azama. In this contemporary piece, internationally acclaimed playwright Michel Azama explores the dynamic between life and death, childhood and old age, war times and hope for peace. In Crusades, Azama imagines the improbable meeting of an eight-hundred-year-old woman desperately searching for her children, a native American confronted to western culture, and a young man trapped in the crossfire between Israel and Palestine. This play functions as a collage of human experiences: timeless, surrealistic, and terribly relevant to us all.
