Takes place at Pauls Valley Adoption Center and happens on first Tuesday of each month
• Where: Pauls Valley Adoption Center. From Interstate 35, take exit 74 (Kimberlin Road) west and go about one-quarter mile to facility entrance.
• When: 8 a.m. to noon on the second Tuesday of each month at the Pauls Valley facility.
• Cost: Adoption fee is $125.
• Qualifications: To qualify, applicants must be at least 18 years old with no record of animal abuse. Adopters must have at least 400 square feet of corral space per animal and free access to food, water and shelter. A 6-foot corral fence is required for adult horses and 5-foot fences for yearlings. Covered stock-type trailers with swing gates and sturdy walls and floors are required to pick up horses.

Takes place at Pauls Valley Wild Horse and Burro Adoption Center and happens on first Tuesday of each month
The Bureau of Land Management offers wild horses and burros for adoption throughout the year.
The Pauls Valley Adoption Center hosts adoptions from 8 a.m. to noon the second Tuesday of every month at the facility, which is about a quarter mile west of Exit 74 on Interstate 35. About 75 animals are available for adoption each month.
Upcoming dates are June 14, July 12 and Aug. 9. A special adoption event will be Aug. 4-6 in Kellyville.
