In the early 1900s, the Fred Harvey Company partnered with the Santa Fe Railway to promote travel through the Southwest to California. The Harvey Company featured images of Native American Art and Native Peoples on travel brochures, postcards and in books. At times, activities of the Harvey Company and the railway indirectly changed the scope of southwestern arts. The far-ranging activities will be explored in this lecture.
