8pm: Comedian Brad Porter/Twinprov: Doppelgangstas Live in Concert
10pm: OKC Improv All-Stars/Villain: The Musical

OKC Improv, Oklahoma's first ongoing showcase for regional improv comedy and theater, concludes its inaugural 7-week hit run at Ghostlight Theatre Club (3110 N. Walker, OKC) this Saturday, February 27th with shows at 8pm and 10pm.

Saturday’s 8pm show starts off with a set from one of Oklahoma's most fiercely funny stand-up comedians, Brad Porter. Comprised of rich stories and observational comedy delivered with intense conviction, Brad's comedy speaks to the righteous anger and frustration within us all that is a response to a world that just doesn't work like it should.

Porter will be followed by the debut of a brand new Twinprov show, “The Doppelgangstas: Live in Concert” in which twin brothers and musical comedians Clint and Buck Vrazel will introduce the universe to their rapper alter egos, Kid Koopernicus and Uncus The Humongous Homunculus.

While improvised rap and music are part of most Twinprov shows, never before have the characters of The Doppelgangstas been fully realized on stage and given their own show in which the twintonium-powered duo can work their spontaneous rap-fu on all matters great and small backed by a live DJ and featuring remixed versions of Twinprov classics like “The Doppelgangsta Rap” and “Stupid People” along with all new improvised songs!

The Vrazels will be joined on stage by regular collaborator and musical improviser extraordinaire, Stephanie “Dr. Spach” Bidelspach and introducing, all the way from the underground music scene of San Francisco, the wicked beats of DJ Philonious Tao. "Doppelgangstas" will also include audience participation and a few surprise guests.

The 10pm show will feature the OKC Improv All-Stars, a comedy super-troupe with a rotating cast made up of Oklahoma's most talented improvisers performing a fast-paced mix of short-form and musical improv.

The All-Stars will be followed by the second debut of the night, “Villain: The Musical!,” a completely improvised three act 45-minute musical in the style of the Broadway hit “Wicked” and Joss Whedon’s “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.” Told from the antagonist’s point of view, “Villain” will explore their dark origins, twisted loves, and ultimate conflict with their heroic adversary! “Villain” was developed by and stars Cristela Carrizales, Buck Vrazel, Clint Vrazel, Raychel Winstead, and making her singing debut on the OKC Improv stage, musician Stephanie Bidelspach.

Tickets are $10 each. Reservations are encouraged and can be made via E-Mail at okcimprov@gmail.com or by calling 405.343.1570. For more information go to www.okcimprov.com.

OKC Improv will be dark in March while Ghostlight Theatre Club produces “The Real Thing” by Tom Stoppard, but will return with a 5-week run starting April 3rd.
