Our family loves going to Mutts!
The hot dogs they use are really good quality. I like the create your own dog. I had a dog with pico and avacados and it was excellent!
I also love the communal tables. Last time we were there we sat next to some college kids and struck up coversation. They asked if they could try our corn dog bites. Why not?

I am not a big hot dog fan but Mutt's are really good. My favorite thing was that there were two sizes of dogs. My husband got the big one and I got the little one. It was perfect!

Had the Kobe beef which I totally don't agree with cold potato salad on top. Theres also no customization with their specialities but I wanted to see what's the Kobe beef is all about. I end up spending $50.00 for two small "Kobe" hot dogs and 4 beers. I had to get an extra coney dog to fill us both. I don't see the hype for this... I guess all Americans get hype about very new and fattening creations.

My one visit to Mutt's Hot Dogs perhaps raised more questions than providing answers. It was about 2:30 on a Saturday afternoon and it was PACKED, standing room only. The menu provides some of the most inventive hot dog ideas I've ever seen and I was very excited to try some! After a short wait and getting really excited about the Big Easy dog, I was rebuffed by the cashier who said they did not allow any customization of their dogs. I really just wanted them to leave off the relish and the mustard, which I thought was an easy step, guess not. I ended up being stuck with the corn dog. I use the word stuck tongue in cheek, because it was huge and delicious. Everyone around seemed to be really enjoying their specialty dogs, but I think if you are a little on the picky side, this place will NOT be there to help you out, maybe when they slow down they can start the custom order process, but if this place takes off like it's cousin BTT, I'll just keep driving by....

I'd give the place 5 stars but the cost for some of the dogs was expensive. If you go just make your own for $3.50. I love that you can choose between beef, chicken or falafel hot dogs. If you do go for the more expensive dogs then try these:
- The Philly
- The Windy City Dog
- Primanti
