I visited Mama Roja for the first time last night, and was highly impressed. They have a great spread of 4 salsas to choose from, and the queso was fantastic. I asked the waitress to suggest a menu item, and she recommended the chicken burrito. It was fantastic. Even the rice and beans were outstanding. Great atmosphere, great food, great service. Can't wait to go back.

We took a significant drive to Mama Roja's to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. The two best parts of our visit was the greeter and the view. We were seated in the closed in area of the patio. The music was SO loud, we couldnt even carry on a conversation. Add to this that some chick one side of was screaming so that her friends could hear over the music. Our waitress was horrible. Even after asking her to repeat stuff over and over, and asking her to get someone to turn the music down - nothing happened. The queso tasted like it was from a can, tea was almost clear, and the chicken and ground beef enchilada were adequate. We had another server actually come take our credit card to pay for the ticket. Our server completely disappeared. We'll definitely never be back!

I go to Mama Roja usually about once a week, I like it that much....  Read full review I go to Mama Roja usually about once a week, I like it that much. They have great free chips and queso, and I love the quesadillas. Some stuff is a bit pricey, but it's worth it. If you haven't tried it, do. And Try the tomatilla sauce, it's great.

We had a family birthday party of 9. We had a short wait compared to some places. The salsas were really good, but I loved the queso! I had the beef chimichanga with refried beans and rice. So much food! I had leftovers to take home. Everyone enjoyed their dinner and the staff was very attentive!

Very consistent food and they've got lots of good spots to watch the sun set and look out over the lake. Try the shrimp fajitas, they're just about perfect.

I would rate the food marginal at best and nothing to brag about. I expected more from a restaurant located on the fabulous Lake Hefner but I still had a good time.

It was a busy Friday evening so our party of 3 expected a wait but...  Read full review It was a busy Friday evening so our party of 3 expected a wait but we were pleasantly surprised that we were seated immediately. The chips, salsa and beverages were so good that we didn't mind the time elapsed between ordering and receiving our meals. Great customer service and our dinners were excellent!

We sat on the patio and had a great view of the lake and there was a band playing that made the atmosphere even better! The food and drinks were great too! I would go back in a heartbeat!

The chicken was dry, the beans had a funky taste and the rice - eeew. Even the service was subpar. The margarita/Sangria was the only thing I liked. The salsa was just OK for me. Unfortunately, I think they should have kept Bahama Breeze in that location. If I ever go back it will only be for drinks. After I left, I honestly felt it would have been better to stop by Taco Bell.

We found a spot at the outdoor bar and enjoyed drinks with the lake behind us. We were lucky to get an outside table and enjoyed an excellent dinner with live music and a setting sun. The service was friendly and the proportions were large. I'd recommend this for anyone interested in a good time out.

Third visit in 4 weeks,love all the salsas they offer, really head...  Read full review Third visit in 4 weeks,love all the salsas they offer, really head and shoulders above most other Mexican restaurants in OKC. Highly recommend the platter with a taco, pork tamale and cheese enchilada, black beans and rice. Forgot to mention how awesome the margaritas are, get the top shelf, it's about 2.5 servings!

Wow! They did a fantastic job renovating this restaurant after...  Read full review Wow! They did a fantastic job renovating this restaurant after taking it over from the former Bahama Breeze folks. You'll never recognize it - it's stunning. The day we went was a beautiful sunny day on Lake Hefner and we sat out on the porch with the doors open overlooking the water. You would have thought we were in the Caribbean, not OK! The chips and salsa were great - they also gave us the choice to have an avocado based salsa (which I highly recommend) so we had 4 different kinds to much on. Our enchiladas and the "street tacos" were excellent as well. Topped off with fresh made sopapillas, yum. The only thing missing was a Corona with lime (which I would have had if I didn't have to go back to work)!
