These brief workshops teach beginning students the fundamentals of working with hot glass. Students meet offsite at Blue Sage Studios, where they will focus on safety, the movement of glass, and movement within the glass studio. We’ll practice the techniques of gathering, shaping, and jacking the glass and create three solid glass paperweights while receiving an introduction to the cold working process of grinding glass.
