Formerly the Iguana Lounge, the Iguana Mexican Grill has reopened its doors with some of the same great tastes, but a lot of new features as well. One of the best Mexican restaurants in the city, it consistently has wonderful food and a very accommodating staff.

I REALLY want to like this place. I've enjoyed the food, but have never received it in under an hour. Usually it's great, but not what I've ordered and my service is usually sub par. I'll continue to go w/ my trendy friends who suggest it and hope someday I'll hit it on the money :/

Iguana is the place to get tacos on Tuesdays. Whether it is the different weekly specialty tacos or the normal lot they serve, they are always spot on. They also have a great lunch menu that is sure to hook your appetite up proper. I recommend always trying to go partake in Taco Tuesday, because you're missing out otherwise. This place is top notch for sure.

The salsa and tacos are really good, but it's not worth an hour...  Read full review The salsa and tacos are really good, but it's not worth an hour wait (even if they do TEXT you when your table is ready!) and Big Truck Tacos has more unique, better seasoned tacos. The neighborhood alone is worth a visit, and the food is yummy, but it doesn't quite live up to the hype.

Suggested to out-of-town friends that we meet here for Saturday...  Read full review Suggested to out-of-town friends that we meet here for Saturday lunch before a Civic Center event. Was worried there may be a wait but we were seated right away. Good service and the menu items the server suggested were great. Love the free and convenient parking.

Iguana is great for all of the traditional Mexican fare- amazing...  Read full review Iguana is great for all of the traditional Mexican fare- amazing tacos, superb enchiladas, but some of my favorite things on the menu are not what I usually order at 'other' Mexican restaurants that seem to only offer tacos and enchiladas. At Iguana, the appetizers are PHENOMENAL. The cerviche, the nachos, and the soups are are packed with flavor and delcious. But still, my favorite dish to get at Iguana is anything (dinner plate or a salad at lunch) with the chili relleno! Chef Parrot uses anaheim peppers instead of the traditional poblano....which seems to keep it a little 'fresher' tasting than a traditional deep fried and cheese stuffed poblano. Iguana is delicious- and it taste even better if you manage to grab a patio seat!

Food was average. We got there early to get seats and you should know staff will not seat anyone until all of your party is present - not a good idea. We could have had several drinks and snacks prior to everyone showing up. Probably won't be back.

The food is outstanding with a wide variety and a wonderful presentation. We ordered the caso, which was outstanding. I had the chicken enchiladas (best I have ever eaten), and my husband had the burrito. We both ate until we could eat no more! The atmosphere is very artistic and calming. Eating at Iguana is a guaranteed win!
