A film series at Oklahoma City University continues with Ingmar Bergman’s “Fanny and Alexander.”
Through the eyes of 10-year-old Alexander and his younger sister Fanny, the great delights and conflicts of the Ekdahl family are revealed, displaying a sprawling, convivial bourgeois clan in turn-of-the-century Sweden. Winner of the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film and honors around the world, the film is one of the most successful in Bergman’s career and is considered his crowning achievement.
The topic of the film series borrows the theme from the popular and inspirational public radio program-turned book, “This I Believe.” Admission is free.
