Pizza and More Workshop (2.8 miles)

A new workshop that will help youths ages 9 to 14 learn to make pizza, complete with homemade crust and sauce.

All supplies are provided and included in a $10 preregistration cost for the workshop. Students will eat their pizzas for lunch.

Platt My Plate (9.0 miles)

Takes place at Platt College

The Culinary Institute of Platt College will host Platt My Plate from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at its north campus, 2727 W Memorial Road.

Guest Chef Lee Bennett, Iguana Grill, and a dozen kids will show how to cook a healthy meal together based on the united States Department of Agriculture's "My Plate" guidelines.

The sessions are free but limited to 20 people. To register, go online to plattcolleges.edu and click on the Platt My Plate link. Children must be at least 6 years old and accompanied by an adult.
