Cattlemen's has been around since 1910 if you can believe it. In 1945, it was won by Gene Wade on a dice bet, and the "hard 3's" he rolled have been branded on the wall ever since. Cattlemen's is known not only for its unique history, but mainly for its terrific food - perfectly aged steaks, according to a closely-guarded house secret. This aging process is impractical to copy at home, and results in a naturally tender, flavorful steak.

Cattlemen's serves breakfast cowboy-style - enough stick-to-your-ribs food to keep you going all day and the best cup of coffee that Seattle couldn't touch. Another longtime Cattlemen's favorite are 'Lamb Fries.' If you don't know what they are, don't ask - just enjoy!

Reviews for Cattlemen's Steakhouse

Aug 30, 2009 by Amy Lamb
Excellent service and steaks cooked to PERFECTION. The wood paneling, ya'lls, and hospitality remind me of home. I almost always run into a great conversation w/a good 'ol cowboy. I'm also a big fan of the crouton bread items they serve w/their salad which also has an amazing ranch-like house dressing. My fave time to go is at lunch. The steak special is only $7-8 which is cheaper than some fast food restaurants and a WAY BETTER VALUE. It includes a small steak, choice of potato, salad, and roll! Can't wait to try their breakfast.

The food here is great! The croutons they give you are excellent on the salad or perfect to dip in the garlic ranch! They have great lunch specials, and everyone is so friendly! Not to mention it is located in the cute area of Stockyard city!

Have been to Cattlemen's several times over the course of my lifetime, most recently 2 weeks ago. I have some online friends from a message board that I belong to, who were doing a road trip through Oklahoma. We met at Cattlemen's and they were persuaded to try the lamb fries. They were impressed by those, and really impressed by the service, quality and taste of all of our food. Cattlemen's has never let me down when I wanted to "impress" an "out-of-towner".

There's a breakfast buffet on Saturday and Sunday mornings with biscuits and gravy, eggs, bacon, sausages, potatoes, cinnamon rolls (to die for) and fresh fruit , as well as a full breakfast menu. But it's the pancakes that keep me coming back. They're some of the best in the Oklahoma City area. Linda
