In this fun class, we will start by reading a story and visiting the special exhibition, Princely Treasures: European Masterpieces 1600-1800 from the Victoria and Albert Museum, to look for things that are big and things that are small. Back in the classroom, children will lay down on a big piece of paper while grown-ups use a pencil to trace their bodies. Next, as children use large brushes and tempera to paint the drawings, the grown-ups will draw a simple silhouette on a small canvas. Children will then paint the canvases with small brushes and add a crown to their picture using gold acrylic paint. An additional offering of this class will occur on Saturday, February 25, from 11–11:45 a.m.
$7 members/$9 nonmembers per child (materials and a snack provided)
Maximum enrollment is 8 adult/child pairs.
