Beginning Pottery

Mondays | 7 – 9 pm | $130
Thursdays | 10am – Noon | $130

INSTRUCTOR: KARA WHITMIRE FLOYD

This class will provide students with the fundamentals of working with clay and glazes. Students will be introduced to hand-building, wheel throwing, and glazing through instructor demonstrations and one-on-one attention.

(supplies and clay not included)

Kara Lane Whitmire Floyd is an art instructor and potter from Edmond, Oklahoma. She received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Education from the University of Central Oklahoma. Floyd received an award for excellence in the field of ceramics from the College of Arts Media and Design at UCO and has had her work showcased in several group exhibitions. Floyd also currently teaches art to grades kindergarten through 8 at St. Eugene Catholic School in Oklahoma City.
