In all that time, he has consistently been ahead of the pack in understanding and explaining why readers love the Potter Saga. A dynamic and engaging speaker (can you say “Funny”?), John explains why we love reading our favorite books in a way everyone can understand and so that we want to read more books.

Miss/Mister Multicultural Talent and Modeling Competition

Timeka Tyler Public Relations, LLC has partnered up with J. Gaines & Associates, and together they are bringing to Oklahoma City on Sunday May 27, 2012, Miss/Mister Multicultural Talent and Modeling Competition. The event will take place at The Laquinta Inn, 800 S Meridian.

J. Gaines & Associates has been putting on pageants and talent competitions successfully for over 35 years. This partnership was made in a continued effort to exploit Oklahoma for the talented state that they are. Features of this competition include cash rewards, trophies, Tiaras, and a chance to advance to a national competition in New York.

Supporters are of a great need regarding this event. The main goal of Timeka Tyler Public Relations, LLC is to uplift and generate publicity on the talented entertainers and creative entrepreneurs of Oklahoma. Your support is greatly appreciated.

The 45th Infantry Division Museum will conduct its annual Memorial Day ceremony at 10 a.m. Monday, May 28, at the museum, 2145 NE 36, Oklahoma City.

This event pays tribute to the men and women who have served in our Nations Armed Forces and honors those men and women who have paid the ultimate price in service to their country. Please join us in paying tribute to the Veterans of our great State and our Nation.

The Gold Star Wives of America Inc. will conduct a ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday, May 28, at the Oklahoma Veterans Memorial Park, 2100 N Lincoln Blvd., Oklahoma City.

Members of the Sooner Detachment Marine Corps League will read the names of the dead beginning at 8 a.m.

8 am - 5K Sanctioned Run (River Run) USATF Certified and sanctioned (no dogs allowed) 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards given in 5 year age categories. Grand Prize given to overall male and female.
9 am - 3K Dog Jog For runners or walkers with or without dogs. All dogs must be leashed and have current rabies vaccinations. Children 12 and under with a registered adult may participate free in the Dog Jog. Registration Fee includes T-shirt and doggie bandanas while supplies last.

The IDMR will present "What is the Blueprint for the Creation?", Sundays from 11a until 1p w/Sunday School beginning at 9:30a, and, Thursdays from 7p until 9p during the month of May 2012. Feel free to join us -- Admission is ALWAYS free.

Join us for the opening reception May 4 from 6pm to 10pm. The exhibit will also feature works by other gallery artists and be on display through May 28, 2012. The gallery is open Thursday through Saturday from noon to 5 pm, Sunday from 1 to 4 pm, as well as Memorial Day weekend during the Paseo Arts Festival. The gallery is closed Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.

In recent works, both featured artists explore strong contrasting relationships of color and shape. Smith builds her silhouetted horse forms against a backdrop of intriguing collage elements, teasing the eye from one area to another. Bewley’s striking compositions of bold shapes and vivid colors suggest figures in various settings.
