This employer has to be the worst possible employer ive ever worked for. Some might call me a disgruntled employee for writing this, but in all honesty, im not. Danny Odem (Otem, Ottem, Otom or however you spell it) hired me on as a so called "greenhorne" for $16.00/hr, Probably like he does with anyone else with potential. He let me program and setup one machine (which I might add had no problems and ran perfectly) them put me on operator duty for 2-3 weeks. I showed up late and absent because of personal reasons a few times and he said within a month of showing up on time id get to program and learn something. I learned nothing there except what not to do to piss him off. He and his company is all about making money (The evidence is his 500k to 1million dollar brand new machines and tooling...over 90. They call this CAPITAL). Soon after I was put on "operator duty" then he decides to fire me. I call him back and ask him why. He tells me because im not that great of a machinist. What I dont understand is a person with 8 years like myself being a greenhorne still!? He said im somewhere around the range of $13.00/Hr worth. I asked him "well could you start me out at $13.00/hr starting monday? He said I have your number so ill get back to you on that. I shat you not, 2 Hours later I get an amazing offer to work for a CORPORATION called "such and such" (I felt I shouldnt disclose the name on a public website) for the amount of $21.90/Hr! Now the question I have is how does a minimum wage machinist thats supposedly SUPPOSE to be making $13.00/hr get an offer for $21.90 an hour!? The answer to this question is that you shouldnt believe everything you hear from really, REALLY old companies that an employee has worked for in the past. For one, the employee might, JUST MIGHT, have learned a few things along the way...not to mention the college courses hes taken in the past.
All in all AERO COMPONENTS OF OKC (525 se82nd ST. OKC, OK) CARES NOTHING ABOUT THERE EMPLOYEES BUT ONLY THE BOTTOM DOLLAR THEY CAN PAY OUT IT WAGES, SO THEY CAN MAKE MORE MONEY TO BUY FOR FANCY MAZAK ALL IN ONE INTEGREX'S. BY FAR THE WORSE COMPANY TO WORK FOR IN 2012
