Intocable (Untouchable) is a Tejano/Norteño musical group from Zapata, Texas that was started by friends Ricky Muñoz and René Martínez in the early 90's. Within a couple years as a band, Intocable had already risen to the top of the Tejano and Norteño fields with a musical signature that had fused Tejano's robust conjunto and Norteño folk rhythms with a pop balladry. Currently, Intocable could very well be the most influential group in Tejano, and their tough Tejano/Norteño fusion has become the blueprint for dozens of Tex-Mex groups. The group's strengths, which include romantic hooky melodies, and tight instrumentation and vocal harmony is consistently being imitated by a list of other Tejano and Norteño groups. This list includes groups such as Imán, Duelo, Costumbre, Solido, Estruendo, Intenso, and Zinzero among others.

Motorcycle Survival Course

In an effort to make city streets and highways safer for all, the Edmond Police Department has initiated and implemented a motorcycle safety course designed to teach the motorcycle operator how to survive in traffic. The course curriculum was developed by the Edmond Police Department and approved by the Oklahoma Highway Safety Office and the Department of Public Safety. As a result, a grant of $150,000 was awarded to the City of Edmond for the acquisition of a mobile classroom and funds for instructor salaries to make the Civilian Motorcycle Survival Course a statewide effort.

Motorcycle Survival Course Lesson Plan
The lesson plan for this 6-hour course is based upon skills utilized by the Police Motorcycle Unit and instructed by Edmond Police Department motorcycle officers.

Safety Course Requirements:

You have to ride your own motorcycle
The motorcycle cannot be smaller than a 250cc or any type of scooter or three wheeler
You must wear an approved DOT helmet
Your gloves must have fingers
You must wear boots that cover ankles and a long sleeve shirt
You need proof of liability insurance
