The entire process, from the registration that morning, to the delivery and subsequent hospital stay, was a pleasant one. The nurses were all very friendly and knowledgeable and cared a great deal about me, my spouse and our child. My doctor (Dr. Ollar-Shoemake) was awesome, too. I ended up having a c-section and, although I wasn't totally prepared for it, it went great and the staff was nothing short of exceptional. The anesthesiologist (I wish I knew her name) was absolutely awesome!! She talked me through the entire c-section and let me know what to expect. Long story short, great experience. The hospital food was pretty good even. The coffee shop (that serves Starbuck's coffee) was great too. Since the facility is only a year old, it's really very nice and clean. The room that I stayed in was pretty small - if there were more than 5 or 6 guests it was really crowded. But all-in-all it was a great experience and I highly recommend the Norman Regional Healthplex. (Also, there is a Sonic, McDonald's and CVS pharmacy within walking distance, which is great for your family/friends).
