Originally housed in a white bungalow on West Main Street, the Norman Public Library has been serving residents since 1928. In 1966, the Library moved to its current location on North Webster, and underwent a complete remodel in 1986.
The Norman Public Library building also houses the Pioneer Libary System Administrative Offices, which oversee the operations of the nine branch libraries and three information stations of the Pioneer Library System.
