The Mark Allen Everett Poetry Series at the University of Oklahoma is hosting a poetry reading by Joseph Harrington. Joseph Harrington is the author of the innovative autobiography Things Come On: An Amneoir (Wesleyan, 2011), which explores the suture at the crossroads of a devastating personal loss and public national crisis in the 1970s. His critical book Poetry and the Public (Wesleyan 2002) explores the social lives of poetry in the 20th century, and his creative work has appeared recently in Pinstripe Fedora, Hotel Amerika, Otoliths, Fact-Simile, With+Stand, Cricket Online Review, and P-Queue, amongst others. He teaches at the University of Kansas.
