ArtWorks Academy will present Grease (School Version) in January. All students enrolled in Production Company for 7th-12th Grade students will be cast in the production. While rehearsing for this full length musical production, students will gain valuable training in voice, dance, and acting technique.

“Here is Rydell High's senior class of 1959; duck-tailed, hot-rodding "Burger Palace Boys" and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking "Pink Ladies" in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical. Head "greaser" Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their "Summer Nights" as the rest of the

gang sings and dances its way through such songs as "Greased Lightnin", "It's Raining on Prom Night", "Alone at the Drive-In Movie" recalling the music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation.” (Taken from www.samuelfrench.com)

*We are producing the School Version of Grease. This version is intended for teenagers. It has the same story and great music as the original version, but has been adapted for younger performers. This version removes the drinking, smoking, language and inappropriate subject matter that is in the original version. It is the policy of ArtWorks Academy to always select material that is age appropriate, as we believe mature content is intended for adults, not children and youth.

(Some Saturday rehearsals are required. In addition to the $85.00 monthly tuition, there is also a $75.00 Production Fee per semester. This fee helps cover the cost of costumes, theatre rental, set, props, etc.)
