Enrollment is now open for the after-school care program sponsored by the city of Norman at its three recreation centers.
Irving Recreation Center will provide the program for students at Washington and Kennedy elementary schools. Twelfth Avenue Recreation Center will serve Eisenhower Elementary School, and Whittier Recreation Center will provide care for Truman and Jackson elementary schools.
The after-school program will run from after school until 6 p.m. every day school is in session. The cost is $99 a month. Part-time and daily rates also are available.
The program provides homework time, indoor and outdoor activities, arts, crafts, snacks and movie time.
School buses will be used to take students to the recreation center from Washington, Kennedy, Truman and Jackson schools. Staff from the 12th Avenue Recreation Center will walk participants to the center from Eisenhower school.
