Come play chess, all levels welcome! Great food, tea, and atmosphere for all players. Bring a board if you have one but it's not required.

Takes place at Opportunities Industrialization Center
The Progressive Oklahoma Baptist State Convention Women's Department will present its first "What's Mine is Yours!" series.
Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 9:30 am with sessions immediately following.
Cost is $10 per person with lunch included.
In addition to workshops, featured speakers from three generations will share their experiences.
Session topics include sewing, parenting, cooking, modernizing your wardrobe, hairstyle updating and using technology.
Participants may register by logging onto the women's department's Facebook page, registering through an individual at a member church or by sending an email to pobscwomen@gmail.com with name, contact information and session choices.
Payments will be accepted at the event or can be mailed to P.O. Box 14375, Oklahoma City, OK 73110.

Takes place at The Performing Arts Studio
Audrey Streetman will be featured at a free poetry reading at 2 p.m. at the Santa Fe Depot, 200 S Jones Ave., Norman.
Streetman began writing poetry in 1973. Her poems have appeared in such publications as Crosstimbers, Pegasus, New Plains Review, ByLine Magazine, Poet Magazine, Oklahoma Today and Blood & Thunder. She is a retired banker.
Her most recent project is a memoir titled “The Well,” about growing up poor in Texas with a mother who attempted suicide on Easter Sunday.

Takes place at The Performing Arts Studio
The Mitch Bell Quintet will perform at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at the Santa Fe Depot, 200 S Jones Ave., Norman, as part of The Performing Arts Studio's Jazz at the Depot series.
Admission is $7 for adults and $5 for students and senior adults. Refreshments will be provided.
In addition to Bell on guitar, the quintet features Lee Rucker on trumpet, Chris Hicks on alto saxophone, Garrett Jacobson on the Hammond B3 and Justin Walke on drums.
Bell is a graduate of the University of Central Oklahoma's jazz studies program. He began playing guitar at age 10 and has performed and recorded in numerous settings. He is on the faculty at UCO and a member of the newly formed Oklahoma City Jazz Orchestra.
Rucker has been teaching at UCO since 1981 and has served as the director of the marching band, concert band, jazz ensembles, music theater pit orchestra and many smaller jazz groups.
Hicks was named musician of the year in Oklahoma City from 1989 through 1991. He has performed with such artists as Sara Evans, Brooks and Dunn, Chet Baker and Reba McEntire.
Jacobson performs on the guitar as well as keyboards and has recorded four albums.
Walke earned a master's degree in jazz performance from the Manhattan School of Music and teaches at UCO.

Takes place at Cox Convention Center
New to the 2012 Festival is Peter Nestler, World Champion Rope Jumper, presented by Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma. The dynamic jump rope presentation will take place at 3 p.m., so be sure to stick around.
Nestler is a rope master and performs in more than 350 schools per year, where he encourages students to become a champion in life by working hard and studying.
He has also performed in every state in the United States and across the world in countries such as Australia, British Virgin Islands, Cambodia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Kenya, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru, South Korea, Sweden, Thailand and Vietnam.
