Our preschool program is designed for three to five year olds and takes place September 4, 2012 through May 23, 2013. Parents have the option of having their child attend class on Tuesday and Thursday OR on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. The price for two days a week is $195/month, and for three days a week the price is $245/month. There is a $50 enrollment fee. All classes are held from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Zoo’s Rosser Conservation Education Center.

Nature Explorers Preschool was created to provide a Zoo setting to assist parents and guardians in the development of their preschool child in a safe environment which encourages children to develop physically, socially, intellectually and environmentally. The objectives of the program are to encourage interaction skills, self-direction, language skills, intellectual growth and environmental awareness.

The daily schedule for participating children includes free play times, snacks, activities, outside time and nature walks around the Zoo. The classrooms will also host exciting and educational visits from some of the Zoo’s favorite animal ambassadors. Children are asked to bring their own sack lunch daily.

All Zoo personnel have completed an OSBI background check, and the Zoo has EMTs and First Responders on grounds at all times. For more information about the Nature Explorers Preschool program, call (405) 425-0257.
