Five classes for children in grades 3-6 meet Saturday, 9am – noon at the Old Town Hall/Carnegie Library, 5th & B Ave., downtown Lawton. Students are introduced to art vocabulary, color theory, and develop their 3-D skills. Students learn how to work with various media, how to care and clean art supplies and art exhibit etiquette.
Open enrollment deadline is Feb 3. All registration forms must be delivered to the Arts & Humanities Division Office at the West Entrance of Mc Mahon Auditorium by 5pm. The dates of the five classes are Feb 4, 11, 18, and March 3. They will then have their very own, “Young Artist Exhibit with reception” in the lobby of McMahon Memorial Auditorium, March 12, 5-6:30pm. Cost to attend is $50 and students who qualify for the Free or Reduced Lunch Program may qualify for $25/semester scholarship. Note that scholarships are available on first come/first served basis.
