Get on the water in a kayak, try our new stand up paddle boards or take a leisurely pontoon boat ride into the scenic Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge. Join one of the Saturday dragon boat experiences, complete with drummer! And be sure to ask about our kayak paddle trail excursions – all included in your Adventure Saturday pass.

New to river sports? Our fun and easy lessons will have you on the water in no time. The Devon Rowing Experience will teach you the basics on a land rowing machine, then let you try it in our indoor rowing tank. Discover Rowing introduces you to the sport on the water in our flat-bottomed rowing barge. Discover Kayaking puts you on the water in a wide-bodied kayak to get a feel for paddling. And everyone will want to learn the newest sport on the river – stand up paddle boarding. It’s all part of your Adventure Saturday pass.

Bike along the trails on the Oklahoma River or at Lake Overholser on a RIVERSPORT bicycle; helmets provided. As a new addition for 2012 – coming soon – longboards are also available. Or go for a walk or run. If you have young children, be sure to experience the KaBoom playground in the east end of the Boathouse District.

Take a behind-the-scenes tour of the Boathouse District at the Oklahoma River. Learn about plans for the new zip line, sky trail ropes course, indoor surf park and whitewater rafting and kayaking center. Then find out how you can get involved in all the excitement on the Oklahoma River!

At the Route 66 Boathouse, take the pontoon boat tour or a guided kayak expedition into the scenic Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge – it’s a hidden gem that will amaze you!

Your RIVERSPORT Adventure begins at the Chesapeake Finish Line Tower Welcome Center on the Oklahoma River or at the Route 66 Boathouse at Lake Overholser. Individual day or season passes may be purchased online or upon your arrival. Email or visit us to learn about group passes and birthday parties!

All adventure activities are available on a first come basis; some sessions do have limited capacity, so we encourage you to sign up for these when you arrive. All children ages 15 and younger must be accompanied by a paying adult. Most activities are appropriate for those ages 8+; children ages 5-7 may kayak with an adult. Because of the size of the equipment, Discover Rowing is appropriate for ages 13+.
