Paseo’s Magic Lantern Celebration offers a fun and unique twist to an old tradition, a night of light instead of fright where creativity is the spark. Children of all ages are invited to "come as they are" and transform themselves by finding new ways to make magical costumes.
Children are encouraged to go beyond the ordinary Halloween characters and costumes to experience the joy of bringing their own ideas into reality and form. All ages can capture the wonder of Halloween when Paseo artists open their doors to the seventh annual Magic Lantern Celebration.
Parents are encouraged to create with their children as they can transform a pumpkin, and be-jewel with treats too sweet to eat. Paseo Art Space will become the site for hats, crowns and what-nots. Wondrous painting of faces, the light within lantern-making will be manifested, and the Wish Finder will chase your fears away.
As darkness rolls in, all costumed characters and their parents are invited to bring a Jack ‘0 Lantern to life. Everyone dances onto a giant pumpkin painted on the street accompanied by music and drumming.
