*Exhibit ends Sunday, May 11*

An eye-opening and educational exhibition comprised of actual human bodies and organs made its southwest debut at Science Museum Oklahoma on Saturday, November 17.

Our Body: The Universe Within offers visitors a unique opportunity to explore the human body firsthand. By presenting actual human specimens and anatomical displays, the inner workings of the human body's nine systems are revealed to enhance the understanding of the human body and its functions.

Each anatomical specimen is preserved through a patented polymer impregnation that replaces bodily fluids with polymers that prevent decay and decomposition. The process allows for very detailed dissection and preparation that unveil the intricate details of the human body.

Also a part of Our Body: The Universe Within exhibition, the MicroWorld section shows healthy versus unhealthy individual body parts, some at the cellular level. This up-close look provides visitors additional insight into the composition of the human body.

You are right Clint. I went and it was best that my daughter (4 years old this April) stayed home. Overall I felt like a learned quite a bit. It was really helpful to have a medical minded and skilled wife to ask questions. I did notice that there were quite a few people at the exhibit that knew anatomy quite well.

Saw this Saturday. It could be frightening to younger kids I think. There were a few adolescent boys roaming around expressing excitement with words like, "kewl" and "whoa". There are a few exhibits that may induce some questions a parent might not be ready for.

This is something that you don't see every day! This was very instering to see and it makes you wonder who these people are. It was good to see and you are not soon going to forget this.

I went and saw this back in early January. Honestly, even though you KNOW it's real bodies, your mind doesn't let you see it that way. I think it is fine for kids, there is no blood, and honestly I don't think it would be traumatic at all. I probably would have gotten more out of it when I was younger because you're just naturally more curious.

No offense, but this sounds a bit awful, I wouldn't take kids. There are somethings that should have mystery to them.

I wonder if this event would be "child" friendly?

I saw this in Vegas. If you've never been, you really should go. It is disgusting, educational, creepy, and motivational. Makes you marvel at the complexity of the bodies most of us take for granted each day. Smokers beware. In Vegas they showed a lung full of cancer, and they had a drop box next to it where people could then dispose of their cigarettes after seeing the dead lung. Have dinner before you go.

My wife and I made a date of this one... and I wasn't too excited about the deal going in, but it was definitely a good time. I recommend the $5 handset for learning purposes, but that makes even more expensive.
