CREATE ESCAPE CAMP

Grades/Ages: 2nd - 5th

Kids will enjoy a week filled with creative workshops in the visual and performing arts: drawing, painting, mixed media, drama and more. FAI has a friendly atmosphere in a creative environment where children can learn and create art and perform.

Students bring a non-perishable lunch. Drinks are provided.

Advanced Acting

Grades/Ages: 5th - 9th

This class is designed to improve the actor's fundamentals and understanding of acting through use of scenes, monologues and improvisation. Actors will be taught movement, vocal exercises, character and script analysis. Prerequisite: previous performance of class experience. Three day class.

Happily Ever After Magical Kingdom

Grades/Ages: 5,6,7 years

Become princesses, kings, queens and dragons. Students will create their own characters and learn the basics of acting. Choosing costumes from the Pretend Box or costumes from home, the class will create their own “Happily ever after” fairy tale to be presented to parents at the end of class.

Ahoy, Pirates!

Grades/Ages: 6-9 years

Join our pirate crew in this grand experience in the life of a pirate. We will practice pirate talk, sing a pirate chanty and move to a pirate jig. We will create our own pirate play to present to parents at the end of the class. Students will also make their own pirate flag or hat. Shiver me timbers!

Theatre Magic

Grades/Ages: 2nd-5th grade

Discover the magic of the theatre by using your imagination to create fun scenes. From the Pretend Box, we will develop scenes from fables and folk tales to be presented to parents during the last class. New materials and ideas will be explored. If you have taken the class before, come back and learn more!

More Theatre Magic

Working with a script, young actors will create characters through creative choices in voice and movement. Theatre terms and technique will be learned through theatre games. A presentation of a familiar folktale or legend will take place the last class.

Fairy Magic

Grades/Ages: 4,5,6 years

Become a magical fairy by making your own unique fairy wings and wand. Students will create a fairy character and make up a class "fairy story" to pretend. Watch out for the "make believe" fairy dust!
