Opened in 1995, Cafe 501 is the culmination of Sheree Holloway's love of travel and desire to bring a great restaurant to Edmond. From its humble beginning as a "little lunch spot," Cafe 501 has become synonymous with a discriminating taste in good wine and great foods. The restaurant offers Sunday brunch as well as lunch and dinner throughout the week. Sheree describes her menu as eclectic European. She and her husband have traveled to France, Italy, South America, Germany, and Austria and have collected thousands of ideas for recipes. Chef Noureddine Bennai adds his own Moroccan influence to the menu and has been an integral part of 501's transformation into one of Edmond's finest places to dine.
Still one of the top destinations in Edmond for sandwiches and dinners, Café 501 was once a restaurant where you just rushed in and grabbed a table; now, they greet and seat you. Stop by the bakery for the fresh bread selection of the day, cookies and other treats. The charming atmosphere lends itself to enjoying the mainstay Coyote chicken sandwich served with grilled jalapeños, onion and chipotle mayonnaise on focaccia.
