Honey Springs Battlefield was the site of the largest battle fought in Indian Territory during the War between the States. The site interprets the effect of the battle on civilian populations in the area and the multi-cultural/multi-racial “rainbow coalition” engaged in the battle.
The Honey Springs Battlefield is located just west of highway 69 near Checotah.
