On the lush alien world of Pandora live the Na'vi, beings who appear primitive but are highly evolved. Because the planet's environment is poisonous, human/Na'vi hybrids, called Avatars, must link to human minds to allow for free movement on Pandora. Jake Sully (Sam Worthington), a paralyzed former Marine, becomes mobile again through one such Avatar and falls in love with a Na'vi woman (Zoe Saldana). As a bond with her grows, he is drawn into a battle for the survival of her world.

Sure the graphics are good, I mean, they better be after they spent that much money on them. However, If you have seen Fern Gulley, Pocahontas,or Last of the Mohicans and The Matrix, then don't waste your money on Avatar. The story is predictable, mundane, and full of illogical fallacies and unrealistic characters (no, I don't mean the aliens actually, I mean the overly evil General, and the business man who isn't smart enough to see the money he cold make by Not destroying Pandora and it's inhabitants). To those who compared it to Star Wars I am offended: Star Wars was amazing because of how they created everything in the movie from scrap and was like nothing ever created before it and had an astoundingly interesting story that had never been told before. As my friend Kris put it: you could watch the movie without the sound. If you really feel the urge to know the story, just rent Fern Gulley...at least then youll get to laugh a little.
